  1. Apple Hard Disk 40SC and 80SC

  3. The Apple Hard Disk 40SC and Apple Hard Disk 80SC are external hard disks
  4. that can be used with the Macintosh Plus, Macintosh SE, Macintosh II, Apple
  5. II Plus, Apple IIe, and Apple IIGS.

  7. The Apple Hard Disk 40SC provides users with 40 megabytes of memory, while
  8. the Apple Hard Disk 80SC provides 80 megabytes of memory.

  10. With an access time of 30 milliseconds and the SCSI interface, both drives
  11. provide faster transmission of information.
  12.  
  13. The SCSI port located on the back of these hard disks allows users to
  14. expand their systems with additional hard disks, tape backup systems, or
  15. other SCSI peripherals. Users can connect up to three additional devices
  16. when using any CPU from the Apple II family or up to six additional devices
  17. when using a CPU from the Macintosh family.

  19. When used with the AppleShare file server, these hard disks allow users to
  20. build a powerful AppleShare network server with up to 40 or 80 megabytes
  21. of accessible information.

  23. The Apple Hard Disk 40SC will be available for ordering in April, 1987.
  24. The Apple Hard Disk 80SC will be available in May, 1987.

  26. Both of these Hard Disks require the SCSI System Cable and SCSI Cable
  27. Terminator, and can be easily installed by the user.
